Today at a glance
See what’s for tea tonight, what’s still on the list and who else is planning or shopping right now.
Meal planner and shopping list
One meal plan and one shopping list for everyone at home. Tick things off in the shop and the rest of the family sees it straight away, privately through iCloud.
Household keeps the plan and the shop together, so nobody has to ask what’s for tea or whether there’s milk.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner, or just the meals you want. Start the week on whichever day suits your big shop.
Add items with a quantity and an aisle. Tick them off in the shop and everyone sees it, usually within seconds.
Meals you plan often and the things you always buy are remembered, so the usual shop is a tap away.
Search for a recipe without leaving the app and save it with a meal. Scale the servings, then add only the ingredients you’re missing. Cupboard staples are skipped.
Tonight’s meal and what’s left to buy on your Home Screen and Lock Screen. Add to the list from Control Centre.
iPhone, iPad and iPhone Duo
Household works on iPhone and iPad, and makes the most of iPhone Duo’s folding display. Your plan and list are the same on all of them.
iPhone Duo, half-folded
The step stays upright and easy to read. The timer and big Back and Next buttons sit on the flat half, where your fingers are. The screen stays on while you cook.
iPhone Duo, open
The week fills one side and your regulars the other, with nothing lost in the crease. Drag a regular meal onto any day to plan it.
Closed, it’s all still there. The whole app works on the outer screen, so you can tick things off in the shop and open it up at home to plan.
Tonight’s meal, the week and the list sit side by side in three columns, so the kitchen iPad can show the lot. Open a recipe next to the week, or prop it up for cook mode.
Works in any orientation and in resizable windows alongside your other apps.
Choose a name and which meals you plan. Household uses your iCloud account, so there’s nothing to sign up for.
Send an invite in Messages or Mail. Whoever opens it on their iPhone or iPad joins your household.
Everyone can add meals and items. You’ll see who added what, and who’s on the list right now.
Private by design
Your plan and list live in your iCloud, and we can’t see them. Read the privacy policy.
